Participant's Guide to Zoom

Best Practices for Participants

For the best experience possible:

  • Find a quiet location from which to join your session, and make sure you have a decent Internet connection or strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • Log into the session using your first and last name so that your attendance can be properly recorded.
  • Join a session a few minutes early to test your audio and video connections.
  • Use a headset or earbuds instead of speakers and a microphone for better sound quality.
  • Mute your audio unless you are speaking to prevent unintentional background noise from disrupting the presentation
