The Power of Instructor Presence
Research has shown that a critical factor to student success in online courses is instructor presence. Student feedback has illustrated frustrations where students feel they are having to “teach themselves” in asynchronous online courses. Purposeful instructor presence in online courses helps students perform better and leads to a more engaging course. This session will highlight various methods to increase instructor presence by creating intentional moments of humanization and connection.
